 Welcome to High School CareerTech!

This is an exciting opportunity to learn career and technology skills in our technology lab.  In the employability unit, students will be creating a resume, cover letter, and reference sheet.  They will also be taking a closer look at the career pathways and developing a career research paper based on their pathway.  There is also a personal finance unit where students will learn about money management and reporting taxes.  In addition, this course will focus on developing employability skills and will operate in many of the same ways that an actual job would operate.

Part of this course uses a modular, hands-on approach as an introduction to careers utilizing technology.  You will explore the fields of Construction Technology, Multimedia Production, Communications Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Graphic Design, Computer Animation, Web Design, and Video Editing. 

Students will be introduced to prospective careers in each of these areas as they progress through the rotations, and will satisfy local, state and national outcomes.
